Is YIP a political party?

No. Political parties are the bane of our democracy.

Do I need to know things about politics to join?

Nah, we aren't a culty political group, no required reading or debate training necessary. No jargon, no pretentious b*llshit, just an open mind and a shared commitment to a healthier democracy.

Is this just for uni students?

The independents movement is for everyone, by design. YIP is specifically focussed on gen z and millennials, but that is in no way limited to students. No matter your background or profession, we need everyone on board to give the system a shake up.

What does YIP do with my details when I sign up?

We use them to keep you posted on events, campaigns, and opportunities near you - nothing else. You can see exactly what we collect and why in our Privacy Policy.
